FILMMAKER PROFILE:  Every day of Sari’s childhood, she was one Disney princess or another. Sometimes Ariel, sometimes Belle, sometimes Pocahontas, always in full costume. Now “full-grown”, Sari still channels her inner Disney princess whenever circumstances allow, and has furthered this fixation by coming up with fictional characters of her own. Her desire to realize the very unreal characters and unlikely situations in her head makes it no surprise that she ended up in the field of film. Her undergraduate thesis “Asan si Lolo Mê?” received special recognition from University of the Philippines Film Institute and was nominated in the Short Film category of the 37th Gawad Urian Awards. Sari is first and foremost an editor, but is now working at honing her skills in directing and screenwriting.
